The Satchmo American Center, located within the U.S. Embassy compound in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, is a key component of the American Spaces Ethiopia platform. Named in honor of the legendary African American jazz musician Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong, the center was originally established in August 2001 to provide information services to Ethiopian audiences using modern resources.

It serves as an open-access learning and gathering place designed to promote interaction, both in-person and virtual, between the people of Ethiopia and the United States. The center aims to foster understanding of U.S. culture, policies, and society.
